JOSEPH BIANCARDI
Joe Biancardi lives in southern Alabama, moving to the friendly south twenty-five years ago. The cold winters in St. Louis, Missouri forced him and his wife to find a warmer climate. Walking the beach on Christmas Day confirmed his decision to move south.
He has worked as a policeman in St. Louis, an aerospace engineer, a door to door salesman, a quality control supervisor. This diverse work history inspired him to think of stories that he would someday write.
During the mid 1990's he was president of his own corporation where he uncovered the true facts behind his story, Guano Gold. For a short period he had possession of one of the gold bond instruments that was valued at a quarter of a billion dollars. Researching the history of the bond gave him the necessary facts to write the novel.
He went on to work with different disaster companies coordinating the cleanup and demolition of damaged homes from two major hurricanes. His work in Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina led him to meet the real victims of his story Storm Ship.
Seeing how Mother Nature can obliterate whole communities inspired him to find answers to how some people survive while others perish.
His studies since 2002 led him to the beliefs he now has. A believer in the power of intention, he contacted others of similar beliefs and co-founded The HeartMind Institute, a non-profit Alabama corporation. Here, he and his partner teach people how their emotions can affect the people around them. He has studied how people can walk on fire which led to his connection with Tolly Burkan, the founder of the Firewalking movement and his novel, Firewalkers.
My books, I hope, inspire and teach the reader what the human consciousness is able to accomplish through everyday miracles that are possible by all of us.
